The Unicorn is a perfect creature, delicately balanced by yin and yang, the embodiment of the male and female spirit. The spiralled horn of the Unicorn is the source of its great magic and powerful healing abilities. Legend tells us that although the Unicorn offered its healing powers freely, men possessed by greed and wanton hunted down the Unicorn for bounty. Today, it is said, they touch what is not obvious to the touch. Keep searching and you may find one; think carefully, you may already know one!

“How ever many it is, we will love every single one of them. They will all be as precious as the ones we've got now. “Mama, Mama,” Scoripus cried happily as she came over to join the family. The two Russian Dwarf Dragons settled back down once they had recognised who the intruder was. They were fiercely loyal creatures who lived in family groups; somehow Hagrid had got hold of a mated pair that needed a good home and had presented them to Scorpius for his first birthday. Theirs must be one of the few houses in Europe with a dragon wyre in the attics and doors spelled to allow the creatures in and out. Luckily they were dwarf dragons and even when full grown would only reach five or six feet at the shoulder. Draco had loved them from the start and Hermione hadn't had the heart to say no. So she was the registered keeper and guardian of two dragons. Smudge let off a cloud of steam. He was getting bored. Draco laughed at the creature's antics.

Helga laughed out loud. It sounded like the tinkling of bells. “Who do you think is the stronger, child, My Lady and I or that poor excuse for a gelding that sired you? You are as capable as any witch in this house of having a child, or more. Twice blessed by us you have been: one blessing seeks to protect you from any that would hurt you, the other will be the gifts you give him.” With that she faded into the air and left the witches and wizards alone with her words.

Hermione moaned and whimpered as Draco played her with his skilful fingers. She shifted her hips a little, trying to get him to move deeper; Draco knew what she was trying to do and nipped a little harder at her shoulder, reminding her just who was in charge. Fingers plunged deeper into her body when Hermione screamed out her first release, finding that bundle of nerves that made her climb higher and higher towards the stars...

Hermione looked exhausted. Swan had felt her magically supporting Jean, not allowing the pains to affect her, and it was better than any epidural. Swan also felt tired but she went to help the other witch anyway. Sirius stopped her and scooped her up in his arms and, hidden by everyone else, Apparated her away to Grimmauld Place and peace for one night, leaving Draco to care for his own mate.

Swan looked up into those famous grey eyes, unsure of how to go on. She had had a slight crush on Lord Black since the wedding, and now he was escorting her to the ball. It was a memory she would cherish for the rest of her life. Maybe now she would have something to help her cast a Patronus. Feeling like she was walking on air, she took his arm and allowed herself to be escorted into the carriage that was waiting for them. She didn't need the Pterippi to take to the air, she felt she could do it all by herself. Sirius put his arm around her to steady her as they rose into the sky and Swan felt happier than she ever had before in her life.

Draco felt Hermione start to wake up. She always shifted her legs like that as she woke and how did she always look so beautiful in the mornings? There was no better way to start the day than with some loving of his wonderful, fecund mate.

It was late in the evening before the guests made their farewells and headed out by Floo. Draco looked at his tired wife and swept her up in his arms, carrying her up the stairs to their bed. Draco and Hermione made their way back down the path to where the guests waited for them. Jean hardly recognised her daughter as she emerged from the trees, dressed in a green velvet gown with a cloth of gold underdress. The emeralds at her throat and wrist and the ones in her hair complimented the gown perfectly. Draco wore the same colours, his green robes trimmed in the same cloth of gold. They looked every inch the noble couple as the Earl escorted his Lady into the welcoming throng.

Finally, after what seemed hours, the man led him through a warded doorway and into the prison itself. They made their way down a brightly lit and clean corridor, past men sweeping and cleaning, to another set of locked gates. Through those they came to another set of gates and into a second building. There, they were met by a guard who took him to a dormitory. Four bunks meant that eight people shared this room, but there was a shower-room attached, a small locker for personal things and glass at the windows. As he looked out over the wild Atlantic Ocean, he thought that maybe she would come. After all, there were birds in the sky here. Hermione kept remembering every step of every dance, every look that Draco had given her. He had worn his knife as part of his dress robes, refusing to be parted from it for even a minute. Sirius had recognised it for what it was, and word had spread around the room quicker than a snitch. One of the Great Knives was back in pure blood hands. It had been the biggest piece of gossip at the party. Not that a Muggle was there, not that Draco Malfoy was obviously courting Hermione Granger, not even that Harry Potter had kissed Ron Weasley under the mistletoe, but that one of the Great Knives was back in pure blood hands. The flowers were from Draco, formally requesting that she accompany him on a date that Friday. Hermione looked at the flowers. She knew she had never told Draco that they were one of her favourite flowers; he must have asked her mother. The thought that he would go to so much trouble for her made her smile. Lucius Malfoy and Jean Granger spent the best part of an hour just chatting. Jean didn't realise how much information Lucius gleaned from her comments about Hermione. Information he stored away for future use. When they had finished, Lucius left a few Galleons on the table to cover their bill, far in excess of the required amount, before escorting Mrs. Granger through Diagon Alley. He found himself enjoying her honest reactions to his world. Jean loved Melite's Dream, named after the nymph of Greek legend. It was a shop that specialised in perfumes and creams, and other paraphernalia for ladies. Jean treated herself to a small bottle of hand lotion that smelled of the woods after rain. Lucius made note of the name in his book before ordering a basket of luxuries for Narcissa to be delivered later that day. He also noted down the name of the scent Mrs. Granger thought Hermione would like. It was quite late before Lucius returned Jean Granger to The Leaky Cauldron and the company of her husband, and was still a little shocked at how much he had enjoyed his time with a Muggle.
