Lovely, cute and moving. Couldn't help but feel sorry for the lonely woman. Laughed as I pictured Snape in lederhosen. Solomon was just adorable.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I like to think that the lonely woman wasn't really lonely.  Seeing the family made her happy for others and that is where she gets her inner joy from.  Poor old Sev....knobbly knees and all in too short lederhosen!!

*giggles* Excellent use of the prompt-- I didn't expect it to be used that way, and I loved it. Pretty much exactly what I had in mind...it made my heart melt. :-) Great job as always!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I thought the prompt screamed Snape in lederhosen myself, which made me chortle in delight, but it took me a while to come up with the premise.  I am glad you enjoyed it!!

:) yay this is great! love the kid. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading!  Although the little boy was 'Solomon' in this story, he continues to be 'Simon' in my head from my Simon stories, who is a little bit of my naughty Worrywart Jr. but in miniature Snape form.

i loved the imagery, and it was an imaginitive way to tell the tale. I wonder what will happen when she remembers

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading.  I had fun remembering my honeymoon to John O'Groats and other Scottish towns while writing this.  We actually went to Oktoberfest after we were married though.

Hahaha, Snape in Lederhosen. Too funny.

Nice third person perspective, and I love how you introduced the family.

Great job!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Poor knobbly-kneed Potions Master....easily swayed by a pretty woman and big eyed kid.....
