Stars (or in TMB case sweet potatoes)

Am I the only one who gets miffed by those stars that people give your story when they review? I find it confusing when the review reads as: loved it, can’t wait for more, and then there are only two or three stars with it. What about you, guys?

Maybe they are just not being aware of what they are doing? I don't know...

Perhaps Still, it's a bit unnerving. I found myself in a quiet war with this kind of reviewers. Just yesterday, I read a wonderful story, which had only 2,5 stars left for it with a loving it review. I reviewed and rated it 10 out of 10, feeling like a Zorro. Haha!

I almost always review a 10 out of 10. Maybe a lesson on how to mark the story. I know once though I wasn't paying attention and I had done that. I tried to go back and fix it, but I couldn't do it.

I always forget to rate, and only review. I'm bad that way. I also have a habit (still trying to break it!) of reviewing the first chapter of a story in the acceptance letter when I validate. Bad, bad Tyche.
Not quite thirty. Likes to jump off high things. Kind of a swot. Mass reading. Light baking.

I think different people have different ideas about the stars, so some won't read if they aren't "high" enough. So I usually won't rate a story unless I'm using 10 out of 10.

I think I would prefer just to get reviews, because I'm like some of you, I get confused and even a bit miffed when someone says they liked the story, then give it only two and a half 'sweet potatoes' (CAN WE GO BACK TO STARS PLEASE?!! HA!!) But on the other hand, I have been guilty, mostly on my Nook, of not reading stories that only have two stars, and that's not right, but it's the easiest and quickest way of figuring out if the story is worth your time. Of course, sometimes it can be a good story and not be 'starred' corrected.

I'm like Tyche, I usually completely forget about the star ratings when I review. I don't think we really need them either. I usually base my selections on the summary of a story rather than the star ratings or existing reviews.
Should be writing...

I believe the powers that be felt that the star system was outdated, and not fair, so they've gotten rid of it - at least that's more or less what I was told, and I think I'll be okay with it.

Frankly stars (potatoes) or number of reviews can be deceiving. Have read amazing and well written fics with maybe a handful of reviews or poor rating. Won't miss the star system although I love sweet potatoes.

I personally don't star things. Unless it's tv or movies. Books are different to me for some reason. I'll review, if it's easy to sign in. But staring isn't easy on my phone. If im reading from my computer though it'll be more detailed, and id probably star.

I feel they look like weird malformed purple eggplant potatoes. And I never rate a story probably because I never notice the rate option... and I think it's a little weird to rate the story. Might be a personal thing of mine.
